SETUP BACKUP on WINDOWS 7

1. Plug in USB Device you wish to use as a backup. (Note the Drive Letter example F:)

2. Click Start -> type "Backup" and select "Backup and Restore"

3. Click "Set up backup"

You will see the following for a few seconds...

4. In the list below select the drive letter of the USB storage device. (Example Drive F: below)

 

5. Click next

6. Choose "let me choose" and then Click next.

7. Choose your library and other users libraries you want to backup, you can also select any special folder you wish to backup on the c: drive.

8. When done selecting files to backup click Next.

9. If you would like to choose the time backups take place click "Change Schedule", the default is Sunday at 7PM.

10. Click "Save Settings and Run Backup"

** Remember to make sure your power settings allow for the computer to be on at the time the backup is scheduled to take place, otherwise the backup will not happen.

click start and type "power" and choose power options and then change plan settings, adjust so that the computer is on long enough to make the backups successfully.
